The 1st Hong Kong Canadian Scout Group is an off shore contingent of Scouts Canada in Hong Kong. Since the Group’s inauguration in 1992, we have had the honour to provide services to national dignitaries visiting from Canada, as well as the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong. Here are some of our proud moments!
The Right Honorable Paul Martin, Prime Minister of Canada visited Hong Kong. A special Remembrance Service was held in his honor. Without our knowledge, the Prime Minister’s office sent a service team to observe our ‘performance’ on December 5, 2004 and found that we were ‘good enough’, according to the Canadian Consulate in Hong Kong. With this first service to the Prime Minister, the 1stHKCSG started serving those forthcoming/visiting Canadian Prime Ministers. January 23, 2005
