The Hong Kong Award for Young People, AYP in short, formerly known as The Duke of Edinburgh Award, was established in Hong Kong in 1961. The Award was renamed in Hong Kong as the Hong Kong Award for Young People in 1997. As the AYP program is very similar to our Scout program in most of the aspects, we strongly encourage our youth members 14 year-old and above to sign up to join AYP so that they can achieve two awards with the one action, to achieve their Chief Scout’s Award along side the AYP Bronze Award and the Queen’s Venturer Award along side the AYP Silver Award.
